Well we’re “halfway” through another week so I figured I’d post something that is currently “halfway” completed.  The guys over at First Showing have posted this cool trailer for a relatively unknown film called The Warrior’s Way which stars Kate Bosworth, Danny Huston, Geoffrey Rush, and Dong-Kun-Jang.  Sorry, I couldn’t get the video on our site so just click this link to First Showing and enjoy…

The Warrior’s Way, aka Laundry Warrior, is both written and directed by Korean filmmaker Sngmoo Lee, who is making his directing debut after teaching for five years at the New York Film School. The film is produced by Oscar winning Lord of the Rings producer Barrie M. Osborne with a budget of around $47 million.  This was shot in late 2007 in New Zealand and is currently in post-production with Weta Digital working on some visual effects.

So as far as I can tell, take Equilibrium, Kung fu Hustle, Open Range, and Jet Li’s Hero and I think you’d be somewhere close to figuring out what this movie is trying to be.

Also, keep in mind that the effects are not finished so if parts of it look like a video game or a bad foreign language music video, what you’re seeing is not necessarily what you’re going to get.  I’ll stay optimistic and hopeful that this works out and avoids the awful fate that became In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.

If I had a choice I’d save my money for the Wachowski’s Ninja Assassin, but I’ll see how this develops before I make up my mind.  What do the rest of you think?
