Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…'Epic'

In Blue Sky Studios‘ upcoming film Epic a teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and evil rages on. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world — and ours. If this sounds sort of like a certain forest based adventure that starts with Fern and ends with gully, lets just put a little faith in Blue Sky that they’ve got something better to offer than a CG remake. Suffer one advert and enjoy this marvelously vibrant first look at Epic.

Based on William Joyce’s children’s book known as The Leaf Men, Chris Wedge (Ice Age 1 and Robots) is taking the helm for this diminutive forest-based adventure. I have to say that this is exactly teaser should be; something that piques our interest with alluring visuals, a dash of  humor and nary an idea of what it’s all about (as in a teaser, not a spoiler). Sporting a voice cast that’s all over the map Epic stars Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Beyoncé Knowles, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, Jason Sudeikis, Pitbull and Steven Tyler.

Those of you on board, you can expect to see this next year as 20th Century Fox has Epic slated for theatrical on May 24th, 2013.
