Gerard Butler stars in Antonie Fuqua‘s throw-back themed actioner Olympus Has Fallen. In the film, the White House (codeword: Olympus) has been overrun by terrorists and only one man can save the day. Disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning (Butler) finds himself trapped inside the White House in the wake of the attack. Using his inside knowledge, Banning works with national security to rescue the President (Aaron Eckhart) from his kidnappers.
Total Film posted the exclusive trailer, which is essentially a UK TV spot, and we also found a sweet looking quad poster which is at the bottom of the post. Have a look and enjoy!
Directed by Antonie Fuqua, this Die Hard meets Air Force One–styled shoot em up also stars Aaron Eckhart, Melissa Leo, Dylan McDermott, Radha Mitchell and Rick Yune. Olympus Has Fallen is slated for release this Spring on March 22, 2013 and just a tad later for our UK friends on April 17th. Whatcha think? I’ve gone sour on Butler of late… not sure if I’d see this on the big screen to be honest. I do like Angela Bassett and Morgan Freeman on here, but I have a feeling they’d be wasted 🙁

Yeah I know you have Ruth…but this looks like it could be good despite your pessimism. Guess we’ll see, I’m willing to give Gerry one more chance though.
