Taking a cue from the brilliant parody trailers from The Muppets, the marketing team behind Aardman/Sony Pictures Animation’s The Pirates! Band of Misfits is having just a little fun with The Hunger Games. Aardman Animation has given us hours of laughter and light-hearted chuckles from their signature Wallace & Gromit series as well as their forays into computer animated films. This is just a TV spot but still gives a glimpse at the fun to be had from this delightful looking film. So with that said, let the games begin…
Featuring the voice talents of Hugh Grant, Martin Freeman, David Tennant and Imelda Staunton, The Pirates! Band of Misfits is directed by animation legend Peter Lord. Aardman, Columbia and Sony Pictures Animation will bring this fun family feature to theaters in 3D this Spring on April 27th, 2012. What do you think? Look like a whale of a tale to anyone??
